Frese on Barrett: "Anjale has worked incredibly hard in the offseason and is coming into this season in the best shape of her life. Now in her fourth year here, we'll be looking for her to continue providing us with leadership and experience on the floor. Anjale's an unselfish player, who has the ability to make big plays."

As a Sophomore (2009-10): Earned 11 starts and saw action in all 34 games...finished No. 7 in Maryland sophomore record books for free throws attempted with 100 and top-10 in assists with 101 ... grabbed six rebounds against North Carolina Central (Nov. 14) ... tallied 10 points against Old Dominion and hit three free throws...added three assists (Nov. 19) ... dished out seven assists against Samford and pulled down five rebounds (Nov. 24) ... posted 11 points against Howard (Nov. 27) ... earned new career highs in steals (3) and minutes played (37) against Drexel (Nov. 29) ... had career highs in points (20) and field goals made (7) coming off the bench against St. Joseph's (Jan. 3).

As a Freshman (2007-08): Medical redshirt during the 2007-08 campaign, spending the season rehabbing and strengthening her right knee ... suffered a knee injury during her senior season at St. Michael's Academy.

Before Maryland: Lettered four years in basketball at St. Michael Academy as a guard ... ranked the No. 3 among point guards in the class of 2007 and 11th overall by the All-Star Girls Report ... led the Lady Eagles to a 22-5 record as a senior, advancing to the Catholic Schools New York State semifinals ... Parade Magazine third team All-American at the conclusion of her prep career ... a three-time Street & Smith's Honorable Mention All-American (2004-06) and a three-time Class AA all-state pick as selected by the New York State Sportswriters Association (NYSSWA), earning a spot on the first team as a senior ... picked a USA Today Freshman All-American in 2004 ... AGS All-American Camp Underclass All-Star that same year ... went on to be named an Upperclass All-Star ...
